We are Emma and Kerry, we have both loved science since childhood and this passion led us both on to take science degrees. Kerry has since become a high school science teacher, which she currently can’t practice due to 3 little ones but hopes to return to!

After finding out about our common interest we came up with the idea to post experiments every week on our personal blogs.

The idea expanded (through lots of midnight discussions on twitter) and we came up with name ‘Science Sparks’ which we feel really represents our passion for science and how we want to engage children in to the subject again! We hope you as parents want to take part to!

The aim of this blog, is to show children and parents what fun science can be. The experiments will hopefully include a range of chemistry, Biology and physics and we hope that as this goes on you might post back and show us your attempts too!
