Emma is the creative force behind the award winning Science Sparks. It started with a dream of making science accessible to everyone and turned into a website bursting with free, inexpensive and easy science activity ideas for kids.

Imagine a world where science education for kids is all about hands-on, colourful, exciting discoveries. That’s the world Emma wants to create. Emma has transformed countless kitchens and classrooms into mini laboratories, proving that learning about the world around us can be an extraordinary adventure the whole family can enjoy.

Science Sparks

Through Science Sparks, Emma shares a treasure trove of innovative, easy-to-follow experiments and playful learning resources. She has become a trusted voice for parents and educators around the world.

Emma has extensive experience working with schools for special events, science clubs and providing one-off science sessions. Her practical and hands-on approach to learning aims to inspire a generation of little scientists and empower adults to carry out science activities with children confidently.

Expertise

A former computer programmer, Emma has a degree in Microbiology and Virology and years of experience working with children in various settings.
