Slows are famous for being SLOW. They move slowly and sleep a LOT! This general lethargy is reflected in their digestive habits. It takes you just a few hours to digest a meal, but it can take sloths up to a month, and they only poo once a week!
Sloths spend most of their lives up a tree, but don't worry, they don't do a week's worth of poo from high up; they come down to the ground, do a poo dance, make a hole, poo, and then do another dance to cover the poo!

Sloth Poo Activity
A sloth's poo can be up to a third of its body weight!
Weigh yourself and calculate a third of your weight, try to find an object or multiple objects that weigh the same, and then imagine doing a poo that big!!
Fun facts about Sloth
Sloths are arboreal creatures ( they spend most of their time in trees ).
They can turn their heads 360 degrees, thanks to an extra vertebra in their neck.
Sloths can swim faster than they can walk.
Female sloths give birth hanging upside down.
The top speed of a sloth is 3 metres per minute!
The combination of thick fur and slow movement means sloths are a great habitat for bugs and other microorganisms.
Sloths are colour blind.
The average human poo weighs about 450g, so if humans pooed once a week, their poo would be about 3.1kg!!!
