    Create Your Own Happy

September 15, 2018 By Emma Vanstone 2 Comments

We’re super excited today to be sharing an activity from the wonderful new book Create Your Own Happy by Becky Goddard-Hill and Penny Alexander today. The book is a fantastic mix of easy to read facts about how to be happy and simple but fun activities to improve happiness for yourself and others.

    Create your Own Happy

The book presents research in a light hearted manner, making it easy to understand and is perfectly pitched at the recommended age group. My children have especially enjoyed the inspirational quotes throughout the book, which seem to have stuck in their mind as they’ve come back to them over and over again in our conversations.

We love that you can easily dip in and out of the book whenever you get chance, my daughters have been picking it up, doing an activity and them coming back to it later, which is lovely to see. They’ve also started to really think about what makes them happy and even more importantly how to make other people happier which is so important.

The illustrations are amazing and perfectly match the style and tone of the book. We’ll definitely be buying it for friends.

    Invent A Solution

One of the activities we were particulary drawn to was number 13, Invent a Solution.

The idea is to identify a problem and find a solution. My 8 year old finds our almost daily journey to gymnastics a bit of a chore so invented a flying car to make the journey faster.

I love, love, love the quote on this page.

An inventor fails 999 times, and if he succeeds once he’s in. He treats his failures like practice shots.
